Bill,

Thanks for the great blogs. Will you be putting together one with possible Flyers draft picks soon? You may have mentioned this earlier...

It would be nice to see JVR in Dallas...I believe he needs a fresh start in a new city. JVR and J. Benn on the same line would be a force to be reckoned with!

Missed him so much on 24/7. He would have given Bryz a run for his money.

I still think we should trade JVR to the next SC team. It is fun watching our high draft picks win cups in other cities.

I am sure he has already hit is peak anyway. He is not that fast and not that strong.

In this day and age of hockey, the left wing power forward has become obsolete.

Since players at JVR's age with his size and skill are a dime a dozen, there is 100% certainty that he will be traded.

The Stars have plenty of potentially good young d-men in the organization. I would not be suprised if the Flyers dealt for another one in the future.

If they don't trade with us again, I would dish out a rude awakening.

JVR for Loui Eriksson.

I'd hope that wouldn't be all the Flyers get in return.

How can we trade him to ourselves?

I think the Stars would want more actually. Eriksson is good. Most underrated player in the league IMO.

Ugh, it is silly season. Just read on ESPN the Rangers may try to land Weber. Im sure a ton of teams will try to land Weber, us included, I just would puke if he went there, and sadly they have more to offer than us imo.

We'll see where Weber lands, I believe Nashville will resign Weber or Suter, I just don't see them losing both.

I'm not sure they have more to offer. Without consideration to NTC's we could offer JVR, Coburn, a 1st, and a throw in like Simmonds or Read.

I would do that deal assuming Weber would be long term.

Let silly season begin.

That is a lot and who knows, that could be what the deals could come to. I was only thinking from a Defensemen perspective, I think they have a few young guys they could throw in there. Del Zotto, Exiron?, Dubinsky, picks.......it's gonna be bananas if Nashville opens up the bargaining table, and entertaining

ESPN always has an agenda. I'm sure the Rangers are interested but so are 29 other teams.

Also, Poile and Homer have done quite a few deals over the last 5 years together, certainly there is a comfort level between the two working out deals.

-Forsberg deal
-Kimmo/Hartnell deal
-Parent deal (I believe the Flyers did trade him back to the Preds after the Cup run)
-Hamhius deal

I think between $4-5 million. I think it depends on what Carle takes as well if he re-signs with the Flyers.
